Deadlock Patch Drops Tomorrow, Ranked Season Extended

A major update about the upcoming Deadlock patch just dropped in the official Discord today. Yoshi is back, and it looks like the long-awaited patch will finally be shipping tomorrow. Alongside the new content, the current ranked season is also getting extended.

If you’ve been around the Deadlock community for a while, or even spend some time in the official Discord, you’ll probably know just how obsessive the fans can get when tracking internal build updates, developer activity, and pretty much anything that could hint at a new patch.

One of the community’s favorite ways to predict a major update is by tracking pizza deliveries to the studio. Yes, you read that right. There are several community trackers, including one for a local pizza place near the studio, alongside other trackers monitoring developer activity.

Yoshi decided to poke a little fun at this today by dropping two messages in the Discord. The first mentioned an incoming pizza order, which is about as close to a confirmation as you can get that the Deadlock patch is coming tomorrow.

The second message confirmed that the current ranked season is being extended due to the upcoming major content patch. After all, it would be a little strange to launch a brand-new ranked season alongside a major content update.

So, all in all, tomorrow looks to be the big day. As for exactly what’s coming with the patch, we’ll just have to wait and find out.
