What are Physics games?
Don't let gravity get you down.
Physics games can usually go one of two directions, both of which we're big fans of here at Addicting Games. The first is to add some more realism. Everything you know about the real world applies in the virtual one, providing a true-to-life experience. Alternatively, it might be a slightly exaggerated version of the gravity we know and love, allowing for more wackiness and hilarity than you might expect from everyday tasks. We've got a mix of both here, so let's check out some examples.
Pinch Hitter 2 puts your baseball skills to the test. As you step up to the plate, there are a series of challenges you must overcome if you want to make it to the major leagues. You'll start in the sand lots where the challenges are slightly easier, but as you rise through the ranks, they'll become trickier. One day, you might have to hit two back-to-back home runs, while another sees you trying to hit ten balls in a row without any strikes.
If that's a little too grounded for you, why not go the complete opposite direction and head into outer space? In Void Miner, you have to fly into asteroid fields and blow all those floating rocks to bits. The reason? Resources, of course. Those big old chunks of space debris contain valuable materials that can help upgrade your ship. Just make sure to dodge anything flying your way, too. You might be a space miner, but you're not invincible.
Finally, if you're looking for a more competitive physics game, then Bowman 2 is definitely for you. It's a test of your accuracy, timing, and the ability to hold your nerve in a pressurised situation. You face off against your opponent with a single objective: fire an arrow into their head. Anywhere else, and they still might be able to take you out. It's an intense, turn-based head-to-head bout then, where every shot could be your last. So make them count.
