At sea, no one can hear you sink. Welcome to the deathmatch royale known as Battleboats.io. This is a MMO game where you play as part of a squad of battle boats who are determined to destroy your opponents base. In order to do this, you'll have to work as a team, collect your XP and slowly level up and upgrade your units until you are an unbeatable force. Each unit starts as a small tugboat with no weapons but as you sail around the arena and collect the scattered crates of XP you'll slowly turn into a gunboat, a carrier, a bigger carrier, a cruiser, and eventually, if you're lucky --or any good-- a full-fledged battleship. Whatever you become it is up to you and your teammates to seek out your opponents home base and sink it. You'll have to devise your own strategy. Do you want to be a small fleet of agile ships who can move fast, avoid turrets and lasters, and sea mines to do a hit and run operation? or do you all want to grow into a legion of battleships, each with the firepower to stand on your own? The tactics you choose will forge your destiny. You will remember these battles forever long after you and your team have retired from military service and settled into a humble civilian life. Perhaps, from time to time, a grandchild or neighbor will hear that you were in the cyber navy and ask you to re-tell some of your favorite war stories. You will stare, cold-eyed, into the middle distance. Memories of fallen friends, forgotten victories, and a thousand close calls that were never close enough flood your memory.
